Mostarska Bijela is a wild canyon where crystal-clear, drinkable river water flows through narrow stone corridors and a cave-like section with magical rays of light. Part of the walk is through shallow water, the canyon is cool and shaded, and the atmosphere feels quiet, mystical, and untouched.

This tour is perfect for guests who want something authentic, and far from crowds — a true escape into nature that you won’t find in guidebooks or on tourist maps.

We meet in the morning in Sarajevo and drive approximately 2 hours towards the Mostar area. After reaching the starting point, we park the vehicle near the road and continue our adventure on foot.

 From the parking spot, we start a 2.5–3 hour easy walk through a quiet valley following the river. The trail is poorly marked, which is why going with a local guide is recommended. The path begins on a gravel road often crossed by the river — in several places we will walk through water or hop from stone to stone, which is especially fun and refreshing during summer.

As we approach Mostarska Bijela, the scenery slowly changes into a dramatic canyon with high rock walls and lush vegetation. The water here is ice-cold, crystal clear, and safe to drink, and we will have time to rest, explore, and refill our bottles.

The final part of the adventure leads us into a narrow canyon / cave section, where: the canyon becomes darker and cooler, light enters only through openings above as we walk directly through shallow river water.

At the end of this section, a spectacular natural surprise awaits — the highlight of the trip.

This area is known for its rich wildlife. During the walk, it’s common to see frogs, lizards, butterflies, and large river turtles.

After enjoying the canyon, we return the same way and drive back to Sarajevo, arriving in the evening.
